Why is not okay rated R parents guide? ›

Parents need to know that Not Okay is a satire about social media celebrity that has language, drugs, drinking, sex, and references to violence.

Some crude sexual jokes throughout. There is a rowdy scene of alcohol drinking and alcohol later used to ease a mans pain. Overall, incredible acting & great film for only strong stomachs. 18+ ONLY.

Rated G: Suggested for general audiences. Rated M: Suggested for mature audiences - Parental discretion advised. Rated R: Restricted – Persons under 16 not admitted, unless accompanied by parent or adult guardian. Rated X: Persons under 16 not admitted.

It is a horror movie based on Stephen King's novel and is rated R for strong violence, language, and disturbing imagery. Due to the graphic and intense nature of the movie, it may not be suitable for children under 12 or 13.

This show is iffy for most teens, but if you watch with yours, use its themes to talk about bullying and emotional health.

There is some blood and gore and multiple deaths. Minor violent scenes of characters brawling, stabbing, strangling. Slightly more uncomfortable scenes of bare-hand crushing skull and cannibalism.

For mature teens and older

Explain the pros and cons of drinking alcohol, dope smoking, same sex and opposite sex interactions. There are some very emotional and harsh visions and words in this series. No ways will my 14 year old be exposed to this before he is 16 yrs old.

R - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them.
